The goal is to cease to be a person and become Jacob de la Rosa, writer and director. To be the picture on the back cover of a book. To have people connect to me only by reading or watching something I've written. Because then I cease to be someone who has to deal with others, and become some out there force creating and existing. Not Godlike, far from that, but simply inhumanlike. Not a personality or an icon, just a writer. Connect with me through my words, not the ones that pass from my lips to your ears and then back from your lips to my ears, but from the ones you have to read on my pages. Or not read. It's up to you, I guess.
