Wow...so many movies I've seen in the last few weeks, and I love to be critical, so if you're unsure about seeing something, here are some of the things I've seen. The Cat in the Hat: What to say? It IS the number one movie in the country, but I'm not exactly sure why. The movie (as in plot/script) wasn't that great, but the actors were. Mike Myers and the two children were very good and funny, so that was ok. Would I pay eight dollars to see it? Go see it in the afternoon when it's only five dollars. That's my opinion. Oh, added bonus, trailer for Peter Pan which looks SWEET. The Missing: Ron Howard film. Western. I really really liked it. I thought the acting was great, the storyline solid and interesting, and some of mysticism of the Native Americans was cool. This could be the first western with real Native Americans. Anyway, it makes it more interesting. Kinda makes white people look dumb. Anyway, I liked this movie, and I didn't even notice it was two hours and twenty minutes long. Those are theatre picks. I also rented a couple of films. What we watched on video/dvd I've seen like Dr. Strangelove and Spawn, but we also rented A Rocky Horror Picture Show. Anyone who reads this diary and has seen it, will you please email me and explain it? I mean, I guess its better when you go at midnight on halloween or whatever and see it cause they have props and you yell things, but on video with nothing added the movie was just strange...we were saying WTF the whole time! Just all the aliens and crossdressing and then Brad sleeping with Frank and Janet sleeping with Frank and Janet sleeping with Rocky...What the crap? What the crap?! WHAT THE CRAP?! Probably the best part was the song the Time Warp. It's just a jump to the left! And then a step to the right! You put your hands on your hips! Pull your knees in tight! But its the pelvic thrust, that makes you go insane! Let's do the timewarp again Let's do the timewarp again!!! All right, that's all for now. |
