God exists.

My rough draft of my proof for God's existence:

Premise 1: Every culture around the world has some sort of god which they believe in, therefore that belief must stem from somewhere else. Think of it this way, every culture in the world has a flood myth, and no one doubts that these myths are based on actual floods that occurred in those areas. Is it not also safe to assume that since every culture has a god myth, that at one time some god must have revealed itself and that is where all the god myths come from?

Premise 2: Our brains are structured in a way that makes us prone to believe in god, therefore doesn't it make sense that there must be some god our brains are prone to believe in? Another way to think of this is that our brains have special areas linked to math, and we do not deny math's existence, and other areas linked to sex, and we do not deny sex's existence. If there are areas of our brain linked to god, why do we deny god's existence (one could even take this a step further and suggest that this implies a designer who would put that trait in our mind, but I am not going there; I am simply pointing out that within the last few years scientists have shown an area of our brain that responds to religious stimuli).

Premise 3: Since we attempt to achieve "godliness," then there must be a god we are attempting to become like. In other words, an acorn grows so that it may become an oak tree, it grows to that purpose, and furthermore an acorn grows to become the best oak tree, which implies that somewhere there exists the BEST (or greatest) oak tree (Plato would call this a Form: Oak Tree). In the same way, we grow to become more perfect beings, then isn't it safe to say that there is some being we are aspiring to be, that is perfect?

This says nothing of what god is like, but is rather my thoughts that god "is." Thinking out loud again.
