Try telling me...

The other day it was snowing pretty heavily. Not hard, but heavy. I was staring down at my feet as I walked along, and I could see the snow falling around my shoes and on the sidewalk. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of it falling, and I thought that maybe the snow had let up. I looked up and the whole world was covered in flakes pouring down and cluttering the air. I realized that when I was looking down at my feet I was only seeing a crosssection of the falling snow, and when I looked up I was seeing an infinite amount of crosssections side by side stretching on as far as my eyes would all me to see. I realized at that moment that it was a metaphor for something...I'm just not sure what.
