Why do I read obscure books? I enjoy them, but there is never anyone I can talk to about them with because no one's read them. Anyone out there ever read "The Truth about Unicorns"? It's a good book (once you get past the anti-Christian sentiment), but it ended leaving me wtih a lot of questions and I can't find any reviews despite the fact that it was a best seller (thirty three years ago [woah, age of Christ when he died]). The thing that is odd is the references to the moon goddess, Artemis, and the main character's birth...June 6. I was born June 7. Apparently a day late, because the sixth day of the month is a reference to the moon. Did you know the unicorn was used as a symbol for Christ in early Christianity (it had been around a long time before that, of course). |
