Life and this entry seem to go no where...

I'm not a writer. Oh sure you could say I'm a storyteller, and maybe you'd be right about that, but writing is a whole other story. Being a writer means being able to put a story on paper, and being able to write sentences and paragraphs that flow, that have good mechanics. My mechanics have always sucked, and while my freshman English teacher's advice may have sounded good, reading my writing aloud has never worked because I read it the way I want to hear it. If I read my writing aloud to others sometimes it works because they can pick out the awkward sentences but I can't.

So if I can't write, then maybe I can tell stories or come up with stories and I sort of can. Some come from dreams (My Better Half, Your Life at Stake, A Song for Eve), some from childhood games (Aquistaka and Atlantis), some from associating an idea or thought into a story (Hero, The Last Gods, and On Eagle's Wings), and some from older stories already known just changed up a little (Sealed with Blood and Eternity Exiled).

It seems my mechanics always hinders me. I dunno. I realized something today that may seem obvious to you my dear readers and commiserators. Teachers are human beings. They have faults. I've always seen many of my teachers as heros but I recalled one of my "hero-teachers" saying something very mean at my expense once. It didn't shatter my respect for her, but it did make me realize that she makes mistakes. We all make mistakes.

I don't know where this is going. Most of the time these entries don't really go anywhere. That's kind of like life, isn't it? There isn't always a central theme or plot to what happens in life, not like there is in the movies. That's not to say that what happens is unimportant. Quite the contrary. What happens in life should be regarded as beautiful and kept held close to our hearts as something special.

Happy Belated Valentines Day everyone.
